Think of BeepBox as a sketchpad for music. It’s an online tool for creating instrumental music and sharing it with others. You can upload sounds or MIDI files, or even record your own performance from your computer’s microphone.
The site is very easy to use; upload a file and then click on buttons at the top in order to add various effects to your music snippet.

What can you do with BeepBox?
BeepBox lets you sketch instrumental music by adding sounds and effects to MIDI files or recorded performances.
You can distribute your sketches to a virtual audience of performers, conductors and fellow listeners.
You can also use BeepBox to record a short performance and upload it to SoundCloud.
How does it work?

Create your first sketch
Choose a file to upload from your computer or SoundCloud, then add effects to your music snippet. Once you’re happy with the result, assign roles to your friends and share your sketch!
Record your own performance
Click on the “Record” button and follow the instructions. Click on “Stop” when you’re done. Your performance will be saved and ready to use.
Add effects and sounds
Click on the “+” button to add sounds and effects to your music track. Drag and drop them into the timeline and add keyframes to their volume and effects. Click on the “-” button to remove sounds and effects.
Sharing and collaboration
Click on the “Share Sketch” button and assign roles to your friends. Assign a role to yourself as well so that you can see your sketch from all three perspectives.
